Kelly Canyon Resort × SlopeHQ
Resort operations
Higher resort revenue while lowering costs.
Kelly Canyon runs eight departments on one hill. SlopeHQ put all of them in one place, so the resort can see where labor goes while the season is still happening.

The problem
The resort ran on paper: printed incident forms, clipboard lift inspections, and payroll hours tallied after the fact. Labor is a ski area's biggest cost, and it was the hardest thing to see until the week was already over.
What we built
- Weekly labor targets
- Every department has an hours target. Each Sunday its managers get a target-vs-actual report in their inbox.
- Volunteer patrol, paid in lift tickets
- Volunteer patrollers automatically earn a ticket for every set number of hours worked, and partial hours carry over week to week.
- Live headcount
- A map of every department shows who is on the clock right now.
- Paper, retired
- The ski patrol incident report and the daily lift inspections are now digital, with photos and signatures. Each form matches its paper original field for field.
The result
Visit slopehq.app ↗Lower costs
Overstaffing shows up in a Sunday email instead of an end-of-season surprise, and volunteer patrol is rewarded in skiing instead of wages.
Higher revenue
Inspections finish on time, so lifts open on time. An open lift is how a ski area makes money, and staff spend their hours on the hill instead of on paperwork.
